The Annual Session took place from 24 to 26 November 2009. It was preceded by a Workshop on “Practical Application of Risk Assessment and Management Tools”, and followed by a Conference on Risk Assessment and Management.

Its main achievements were:

Support to cooperation in the area of risk assessment and management for a regulatory framework that meets societal demand without stifling innovation or creating unnecessary technical barriers to trade;

Approval of the Common Regulatory Objectives for the Initiative on Equipment on Explosive Environments,

Revision of the Objectives for the Initiative for Earthmoving Equipment,

Approval of the terms of reference of the Initiative on the Safety of Pipeline

Starting the publication of quarterly reports and a yearly consolidated report on technical regulations in the European Union and other regions
