The eleventh session of the UNECE Working Party on Regulatory Cooperation and Standardization Policies (WP.6) took place from 29 to 31 October 2001. It included the following event:

  • Workshop on conformity assessment procedures and trade facilitation.
The main achievements from the session were:
  • Adoption of the fifth revision of the ECE Standardization List

  • Revision of the Terms of Reference of the ad hoc team of specialists on STandardization And Regulatory Techniques (START Team)

  • Adoption of Recommendation L, an “International Model for technical harmonization based on good regulatory practice for the preparation, adoption and application of technical regulations via the use of international standards".
