EMEP Workshop on NOx/VOC Limitations of Ground-Level Ozone Formation

The workshop, organized jointly with the EUROTRAC2 LOOP programme, will compare different approaches to modelling the formation of ground-level ozone. The general EMEP model covering the whole of Europe will be compared to detailed local models that account for specific situations. The objective is to improve models so that they can be used for policy questions, in particular whether the emissions of nitrogen oxides and/or volatile organic compounds should be cut in order to reduce ozone exposure.
