The agenda will comprise both a formal and informal segment. During the formal segment the Commission will approve the main themes to be addressed at the Ministerial Conference on Ageing, to be held in Berlin in September 2002.
The informal segment will take up a number of issues:
- a discussion of the provisional agenda of the fifty-sixth session of the Commission.
- a briefing on ECE's involvement in /contribution to Rio +10
- an update on interregional cooperation in the Mediterranean
- other business

Workshop on emission data reporting under the Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution

The workshop aims at improving the process and quality of emission data reporting, to minimise the workload at a national level and to provide input for the finalisation of the emission reporting Guidelines for the Convention. Work is carried out in close cooperation with other groups concerned with the collection of environmental emission information, such as UN/FCCC, Eurostat and OECD in order to harmonize reporting requirements as much as possible.
