2011

 

1 April: Following the intersessional approval period that ended on 28 March, the document Draft revised mandate, terms of reference and procedures for UN/CEFACT (ECE/TRADE/C/CEFACT/2010/15/Rev. 1) has been approved with only editorial changes.

 

14 March: ATG has approved publication of the XMLForCCTS Technical Specification for implementation verification (Open Development Process, Step 6). This version incorporates all comments adjudicated during the Open Development Process Step 5 period. Instructions to implementers are available here. Organizations and individuals interested in participating in the implementation verification are asked to submit a registration form . New comments should be sent to the project leader Mike Rowell and lead editor Mark Crawford using the published comment log. The first review of comments will take place during the Global Meeting of Experts meeting 28 March - 1 April in Washington, D.C. Comments should be sent to mike.rowell@oracle.com and mark.crawford@sap.com

 

1 March: Following the intersessional approval period that ended 11 February, two Recommendations have been approved and are available at Recommendations website:

 1) The Annex to UNECE Trade Facilitation Recommendation No. 6 “Aligned Invoice Layout Key for International Trade” to accommodate e-Invoicing

 2) Recommendation No. 34 "Data Simplification and Standardization for International Trade"

 As some countries made further comments on Draft Recommendation No. 37 "Signed Digital Evidence Interoperability Recommendation”, it is now being reviewed by the project team and will be discussed at the upcoming Global Meeting of Experts to be held in McLean, Virginia, USA, from 28 March to 1 April 2011.

 

25 February: TMG has approved another UML Profile for Core Components (UPCC) 3.0 draft for public review (ODP step 5 - 3rd review cycle). This review cycle is open until 25 March 2011. Comments should be sent to the Project Leader.

18 February: TMG has approved the UN/CEFACT Context Methodology (UCM) for public review (ODP step 5). The first review cycle is open until 18 March 2011. Comments should be sent to the Project Leader and Project Editor.

14 February: TBG has approved draft revision of Recommendation 12 for public review (ODP5) until 28 March 2011. Comments should be sent to the Chair of TBG15, Mr Johan Pontén.

 

2 February: UN/CEFACT has approved the Core Component Library D.10A for publication. It can be downloaded from CCL website. Any comments on the above should be sent to ICG Chair Michael Conroy.

 

14 January: ATG has approved the UN/CEFACT XML For CCTS Version 3.0 for public review (Open Development Process (ODP) Step 5) until 11 February 2011. Comments should be sent to the Project Leader and Project Editor. 14 January: ATG has released the XML NDR Version 3.0 Corrigendum 1. This Corrigendum corrects minor mistakes in an appendix for regular expressions for dates as well as language in the body that pointed to version 3.0 of the CCTS and Data Type Catalogue instead of Version 3 or future versions.

18 December: UNECE has released the 2010-2 UN/LOCODE directory.

 

13 December: The UN/CEFACT Edifact directory version D.10B has been approved and is now available on the UN/EDIFACT website.

 

18 November: The UN/CEFACT Edifact directory version D.10A has now been approved and is now available on the UN/EDIFACT website. ICG would like to apologise for any inconvenience the delay in publication has caused.

 

15 November: ICG has approved draft revision 8 of Recommendation 23 (Freight Cost Codes) for public review until 28 January 2011. Comments should be sent to David Dobbing.

 

29 October: UNECE has released the 2010-1 UN/LOCODE directory.

8 October:  UNECE has approved Recommendation 35 “Establishing a legal framework for an international trade Single Window”, which was adopted through the process of intersessional approval.  It is available for download on the UN/CEFACT website.  For further information, see the UNECE Press Release.

14 September: ICG has approved revision 7 of the code lists for UNECE Recommendation 20 (Codes for Units of Measure used in International Trade) for download.

 

8 September: The UN/CEFACT Schema library version D.09B has been approved and is now available on the UN/CEFACT website for download.

 

8 September: The UN/CEFACT Edifact directory version D.10A has now been approved and is now available on the UN/CEFACT website.
Note: A small error has been discovered in the recent release of the D.10A directory which has resulted in the need to temporarily withdraw it from circulation until a correction has been made. This will ensure that development with the directory in question does not cause problems during implementation. UN/CEFACT apologises for this inconvenience and will be rectifying the problem as speedily as possible.

20 August: Revision 8.1 of the code lists for UNECE Recommendation 21 (Codes for passengers, types of cargo, packages and packaging materials), Annex V and Annex VI (Coded representations of package type names) has been released by the ICG to correct a code value assignment error in Revision 8.

 

11 August 2010: Draft recommendation 35 (English, French and Russian) has been submitted to the Heads of Delegation for intersessional approval by 8 October 2010.

 

13 July: ICG has approved revision 8 of the code lists for UNECE Recommendation 21 (Codes for passengers, types of cargo, packages and packaging materials), Annex V and Annex VI (Coded representations of package type names).

 

13 July: ICG has approved revision 3 of the code lists for UNECE Recommendation 28 (Codes for types of means of transport).

 

12 July: TBG has approved Recommendation No 34 "Simplification and Standardization for International Trade" for renewed public review (Open Development Process (ODP) Step 5) until August 15, 2010. Comments should be sent to Johan Pontén.

 

2 July: ICG has approved draft revision 7 of Recommendation 20 (Codes for Units of Measure) for public review until 13 August 2010. Comments should be sent to David Dobbing.
