The third session of the Group of Experts will discuss draft United Nations recommendations aimed at improving safety in tunnels, particularly as regards traffic rules, tunnel management, infrastructure standards, dangerous goods transport and vehicle standards. Once adopted, the recommendations will be examined by the subsidiary bodies of the Inland Transport Committee with the objective of integrating them into the appropriate legal instruments.
