The conference will focus on the ongoing work in the framework of the TEM and TER projects, as well as the links with Central Asia. Its main aim is to facilitate funding of the road and rail investment projects. In this regard, the revised TEM and TER Master Plan will offer a number of priority projects of regional importance. The conference will also offer a platform for participants to share experience and lessons learnt from financing arrangements, including Public Private Partnerships.
Policy makers from governments, roads and highway administrations, railways operators and infrastructure managers, and other key players, including a number of International Financial Institutions, will discuss among others the specific financing needs and solutions in the UNECE region. Further more the Conference will offer a unique networking opportunity so that infrastructure projects on the drawing boards will become real investments on the ground.
