The Working Group on Implementation (WGI) is a subsidiary body, created by the Conference of the Parties at its first meeting, that meets at least once before each meeting of the Conference of the Parties.
The main responsibilities of the Working Group on Implementation are:
1. To monitor the implementation of the Convention and to report on its implementation to the Conference of the Parties;
2. To review national implementation reports and prepare an overall report on the implementation of the Convention;
3. To assist the Bureau in facilitating UNECE member States to implement and/or ratify the Convention and;
4. To carry out other tasks assigned by the Conference of the Parties.
The Working Group on Implementation has a maximum of ten members nominated from amongst representatives of the Parties to the Convention.
The Conference of the Parties, at its sixth meeting on 8-10 November 2010, elected the following persons to serve as members of the Working Group on Implementation until its seventh meeting:

Individual country implementation reports submitted within the first (2000-2001), second (2002-2003), third (2004-2005), fourth (2006-2007), fifth (2008-2009) and sixth (2010-2011) reporting rounds are available to the competent authorities - and only to them - through a password-protected site, in accordance with a decision of the Conference of the Parties. |
