Printing of TIR Carnets with the new layout started

Further to the news of 12 April 2006, the IRU has informed that the first TIR Carnets with the new layout were already distributed by the IRU and issued by some member associations. Customs authorities are reminded that, during a transitional period until 1 October 2007, both versions of TIR Carnets, with and without the ID number, will circulate and should be accepted.
