The Secretary-General of the United Nations, acting in his capacity as depositary, has issued the following depositary notification:
C.N.248.2018.TREATIES-XIA.16 (also in French) of 17 May 2018, informing that on 17 May 2018 Saudi Arabia has deposited its instruments of accession to the TIR Convention, 1975. In accordance with its Article 53, paragraph 2, the Convention will enter into force for Saudi Arabia on 17 November 2018. With the accession of Saudi Arabia, the TIR Convention will have seventy-four Contracting Parties.
