Third Multi-Stakeholder Policy Dialogue: Accelerating action for Sustainable and Circular Value Chains in Garment & Footwear

23 - 24 November 2020

Geneva, Switzerland (WebEx videoconference)

The third virtual policy dialogue, under the UNECE project Enhancing Transparency and Traceability of Sustainable Value Chains in the Garment and Footwear Sector”, takes place in the context of a fast-changing policy and regulatory environment to accelerate responsible consumption and production patterns in the garment and footwear sector, and to “build back better” after the COVID-19 pandemic. Its purpose is to take stock of progress for traceability and transparency of industry value chains through practical and global solutions and to discuss priorities and concerted actions to implement such solutions on a large scale, through stronger policy coherence and wide industry engagement. The aim is to help this sector play a strong role in advancing the circular economy and achieving the SDGs of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
