Sonia Mezzour

Sonia is a former High-Level Moroccan Public Servant in the energy sector. She acts as the Vice-Chair of the UNECE Public-Private Partnership Working Party since 2016, Managing Partner of Oversee, and developer of renewable energy projects across Africa and South-East Asia to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain solar, wind, waste power plants as well as water treatment/desalination. Sonia launched and manages today a portfolio of PPP projects, she is a gifted strategist, especially in renewables and complex infrastructure project financing, and is a keynote speaker in several high-level conferences worldwide. She also structures major deals for African Corporates that need to raise international project finance funding. She was awarded numerous international honors. In 2020, Sonia has been appointed ImPPPact Ambassador for PPP.

Sonia holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical and Process Engineering from the Leading Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ), followed by a Master’s Thesis at Harvard Medical School and a Senior Business Executive Program at Harvard Business School. 

She is fluent in Arabic, English, German, French, and Spanish.
