The National Seminar on International Water Law took place in Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyz Republic, on 12-13 September 2013.
The meeting was organized in cooperation with the Department of Water Management and Melioration of the Ministry of Agriculture and Melioration of the Kyrgyz Republic in the framework of UNECE-GIZ Programme “Regional Dialogue and Understanding on Water Resources Management in Central Asia”, Phase II. The meeting focused on article-by-article explanation of the principles and provisions of the 1992 Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes (UNECE Water Convention) and 1997 Convention on the Law of the Non-navigational Uses of International Watercourses (UN Watercourses Convention).
