Guido Montanari is the Vice Mayor of the City of Torino, in charge of Urban Planning and Private Buildings. He graduated in Architecture with honours, holds a PhD in History of Architecture and is Associate Professor of History of Contemporary Architecture at the Politecnico of Torino.

He has published more than a hundred scientific papers. He was President of the Torino Landscape Local Commission and Deputy Mayor for Urban Planning at the Municipality of Rivalta, near Torino.

Richard C. Yancey, FAIA, LEED AP, is the founding Executive Director of the Building Energy Exchange (BE-Ex) a nonprofit center of excellence that accelerates the transition to healthy, comfortable, and energy efficient buildings by serving as a resource and trusted expert to the building industry.


Through education, exhibits, and actionable research, BE-Ex plays a central role in the climate action plans of both New York City and State; and with its global partnerships, as the founding United Nations ECE International Center of Excellence for High Performance Buildings, BE-Ex helps to advance high performance buildings around the world.


Richard was recognized as a Top Ten New York Energy Entrepreneurs, and Top Ten Cleantech Leaders of New York, by Breaking Energy; and was recently elevated to the prestigious College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).  He has lectured and published widely; served on expert panels, including the New York City Mayor’s Climate Action Plan Technical Working Group; and received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design.
 

 

AZERBAIJAN
Baku

 

Eldar Azizov is the head of the Executive Authority of the City of Baku since November 15, 2018. He was born on June 28, 1957 in the City of Baku.

Eldar Azizov holds a graduate degree in History from Azerbaijan State University. He held various senior positions following his graduation in 1979. In 1998, he was appointed the head of the International relations department at the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 1999 he was appointed the first deputy chairman of the Department of external relations and investment programs of the Executive Authority of the City of Baku. In March 2000, he was appointed deputy head of the Executive Authority of the City of Baku, and since June 2000 - the head of the Executive Authority of the Nizami district of the City of Baku.

In 2003 -2011 Eldar Azizov has served as a head of the Executive Authority of the City of Gandja (second largest city of Azerbaijan), in 2011-2015 head of the Executive Authority of the City of Sumgait (third largest city of Azerbaijan) and in 2015-2018 as a head of the Executive Authority of the Sabayil district of the City of Baku.

In 1990, Eldar Azizov was elected deputy of the Supreme Council (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, repeatedly elected deputy of the Baku City Council of Deputies.

In 1980 he was awarded the "Order of Honor" and in 2017 the “Order for Service to the Homeland”.

He is a member of the Union of Journalists, Honorary Member of the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan, the author of the book “Difai” and more than 200 articles.

He is married and has two children.

BELARUS
Grodno

 

Mechyslau Hoi was born on the 14th of June 1963 in Belarus. He completed his higher education in the area of agriculture.

In 2014, Mr. Hoi was appointed as the Mayor of Grodno City. From 2004 to 2014, he served as a Chairman of Smorgon Regional Executive Committee.

As the Mayor, Mr. Hoi is responsible for economic activities, in particular, stimulating industrial production, business activities in the city; attracting foreign and local investors to the city of Grodno. Mr. Hoi is also in charge of developing housing construction, tourist and recreational infrastructure in Grodno, as well as implementation of programs for the development of the city of Grodno.
