Regretfully, the UNECE Resource Management Week 2020 incorporating the eleventh session of the Expert Group on Resource Management, will not take place as scheduled in Geneva, 20-24 April, due to health concerns and travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We appreciate the strong interest and support for this event, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Bureau of the Expert Group in cooperation with the UNECE secretariat will review options to reschedule the meeting and in what format; we will keep the Expert Group updated. Updates will be posted to this page so please keep visiting.

Securing critical raw materials supply is key to the response to ‎COVID-19‎

With almost half of the world under lockdown, the continued supply of certain critical raw materials needed for an effective response to the COVID-19 pandemic has become a concern.
The Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and excipients of several drugs, including antibiotics such as Azithromycin or Amoxicillin, incorporate minerals such as chromium, cobalt, copper, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, sodium, nickel and many others.
