Cristina Garrido is Director of Innovation and Strategic Development at anteverti, a consulting company specialized in Smart Cities and Urban Innovation. She has over 15 years of experience with international city governments and organizations. Her expertise focuses on how innovation can be a tool for improving the sustainable & strategic development of cities, territories and other ecosystems.
In her role at anteverti, she advises cities from all around the world on how to use innovation in their strategic planning. She is Director of the blog CitiesToBe.com, and is also Deputy Curator of the Smart City Expo World Congress spin-offs, organized so far in Bogotá, Kyoto, Shanghai, Montréal, Puebla, Casablanca, Istanbul, Mallorca, Buenos Aires, Curitiba, Jaipur and Doha.
Cristina has written for several books and publications and is a former Associate Lecturer at Open University of Catalonia (UOC). She holds an MA in Urban Studies from Goldsmiths University (London), a BA in Visual Arts & Cultural Studies (University of Barcelona & Aalto University, Helsinki), and she also has a Diploma from Stanford Graduate School for Business, for the Ignite Program for Business Innovation, 2017.
