Touraj Etezady

Touraj Etezady joined Marti Group in 2007. Marti is a major Swiss construction group specialized in Civil Engineering.  He was appointed as Managing Director of the Marti Invest AG In 2007, a subsidary responsible for projects requiring structured financing.
Touraj was responsible for realization of the first PPP project in Switzerland based on international standards. He has participated in preparation of several PPP bids and in his role, he advises the public authorities on various aspects of the PPP approach from the private partner perspectives.
He is a coauthor of several feasiblities studies on PPP projects in Switzerland, e.g. "construction of the Gothard second Tunnel" which was published by Economie Suisse. He also has contributed to the "Best Practice for Preparation and Realization of the PPP Projects in Switzerland", published by Swiss PPP association.
Touraj studied Biophysics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ). Later he joined Prof Wüthrich group (Nobel Prize Chemistry 2002) where he received his PhD in 2004 at ETHZ. From 2004 to 2006 he was the lead scientist at the NCCR (National Centers of Competence in Research) at ETH Isotope Laboratories. In 2008 he received MBA in Supply Chain Management, a joint executive program of Hong Kong University, University of Tokyo and ETH Zürich.
He is a member of the BAB since January 2014.
