Summary: On 2 September 2010, Greenpeace Central and Eastern Europe Romania and the Romanian non-governmental organization Centre for Legal Resources, submitted a communication to the Compliance Committee under the Convention. The communication alleged the failure of Romania to comply with its obligations under articles 3 (2) and (9), 4 (1), (4) and (6), 6 (3), (4), (6), (7)–(9), 7 and 9 (4) of the Convention in relation to Romania’s energy strategy and the planned construction of a nuclear power plant.
