Matthieu Méaulle has been working at the European Trade Union Confederation since December 2015. Prior to that, he was Head of the Economic Department at the French Parti socialiste (2012-2015) and Senior Economic advisor at the Foundation for European Progressive Studies in Brussels (2008-2012). He was Visiting Scholar at the Initiative for Policy Dialogue at Columbia University at the end of 2010. He has been assistant teacher at University Evry Val d’Essonne and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and student teacher at the University of Marne-la-Vallée.

 

His fields of interest are History of economic thought, Macroeconomics, European integration, Macro-financial regulation, Banking and Employment policies.

 

Matthieu Méaulle obtained his PhD in Economics in December 2007 at the University Paris X-Nanterre for his work on capital transfers and economic imbalances in the teachings of F. von Hayek, J. R. Hicks and the Marxists. He spent one year at the University of London as an Erasmus student in economics and began studying economics at the University Pierre Mendès-France in Grenoble (France).
