34th UN/CEFACT Forum

The United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT) shall hold its 34th Forum in London from 28 October to 1 November 2019.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is graciously hosting us in its head offices on Albert Embankment, London, UK. A special thanks to our colleagues at the IMO for their support.

The semi-annual Forums of UN/CEFACT bring together experts from the public and private sectors to work on trade facilitation recommendations and eBusiness standards. This year’s Forum will advance topics on:

  • Single Window implementations
  • IMO electronic FAL messages
  • Supply Chain Track and Trace
  • Textile and Leather Traceability
  • Sustainable Fisheries
  • Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

Participants who require an invitation letter to support their visa application, are requested to register online as soon as possible; the deadline for invitation letter is Monday 30 September 2019.

Venue
The 36th UN/CEFACT Forum in London is graciously hosted in the building of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). It is located just south of the Lambeth bridge which is a ten minute walk south of the Parliament building.

Entering the IMO premises
All participants of the UN/CEFACT Forum must be pre-registered. These details will be communicated to the IMO for the access badges. You will be asked for a valid photo identification upon arrival. You will receive an access badge which must be worn at all times when in the IMO building and returned to security before leaving on your last day of attendance.

How to reach the venue

  • The buses 77 and 344 stop directly in front of the IMO building.
  • There is a ferry terminal just across the Thames river of the IMO building, “Millbank Millennium Pier.”
  • The closest underground stations are Vauxhall Station on the Victoria line (10 minutes south of the IMO building) or Kennington on the Northern line (15-20 minutes east of the IMO building).

Visa details
The UNECE secretariat can prepare an invitation which can be presented for visa requests. This request should be made when registering for the UN/CEFACT Forum and the additional details must be filled in at that time (passport information). The visa invitation will only be processed for registered UN/CEFACT experts; please plan well in advance if requesting visas. Visa invitation letter deadline is Monday, 30 September 2019.
