Conference "Financing development of road and rail transport infrastructures"

United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Trans European North-South Motorways (TEM) project Trans European Railway (TER) project in collaboration with The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)
To ensure seamless connections throughout Europe, including cost-effective access to markets, UNECE coordinates work of the Trans-European North-South Motorways (TEM) and Railways (TER) projects in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. Central to this work is the TEM and TER Master Plan which sets out the priority infrastructure needs, the backbone networks and a realistic investment plan to develop them. Transport division of the UNECE in collaboration with both projects and the OSCE is organising a Conference “Financing development of road and rail transport infrastructures”. The one-day conference will be organised on the occasion of the launching of the revised TEM and TER Master Plan. The Conference will take place in the OSCE Conference Centre Hofburg in Vienna on 17 November 2010. Representatives of Governments and International Financial Institutions, road and rail sectors will meet at the conference to evaluate the opportunities for the financing of the TEM and TER infrastructure priority projects specified in the revised Master Plan.
