under section
1.5.1 of ADR concerning transport of UN 1057 LIGHTERS and UN 1057 LIGHTER
REFILLS
By derogation from the
provisions of the ADR UN 1057 LIGHTERS and UN 1057 LIGHTER REFILLS are exempted
from all other provisions of the ADR if the provisions of chapter 3.3, special
provision 201 of the ADR and of sub-section 4.1.4.1, packing instruction P002,
special packing provision PP84 or special packing provision RR5 of the ADR are
applied and the following conditions are met:
1.
Each package is
clearly and durably marked with UN 1057. This marking shall be displayed
within a diamond-shaped area surrounded by a line that measures at least 100 mm
Χ 100 mm. If the size of the package so requires, the dimensions may be reduced
provided that the marking remains clearly visible. Overpacks are marked in the
same way, unless the marking of the package is visible.
2.
The gross mass of
a package containing such articles does not exceed 10 kg.
3.
The quantity of
such articles carried in the transport unit does not exceed 100 kg (gross
mass).
4.
A copy of this
agreement is carried on board the transport unit.
This agreement
shall apply to transport operations in all countries signatory to this
agreement from 1st January 2005 until 31st December 2009,
or until a corresponding amendment to ADR comes into force, whichever is
sooner. If it is revoked before by one of the signatories, it shall remain
valid until the above-mentioned date of expiry only for carriage on the
territories of the ADR Contracting parties signatory to this agreement which
have not revoked it.
