Entry into force of amendments to the TIR Convention, 1975 and corrections to their French wording

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, acting in his capacity as depositary, has issued the following Depositary Notifications:
1) C.N.734.2008.TREATIES-2 of 2 October 2008 informing that by 1 October 2008 none of the Contracting Parties to the TIR Convention, 1975 has communicated an objection to proposals to amend paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 13 of Annex 8 together with proposals to introduce new Explanatory Notes 8.13.1-3 and 8.13.2 to Annex 6 of the Convention. Therefore, the said amendments will enter into force on 1 January 2009 for all Contracting Parties.
2) C.N.736.2008.TREATIES-3 of 2 October 2008, informing of corrections to the French text of the above-mentioned amendments.
