The Secretary-General of the United Nations, acting in his capacity of depositary, has issued following Depositary Notification:
C.N.48-2009.TREATIES-1 of 23 January 2009, informing of the submission of proposals to introduce a new Explanatory Note 0.3 (a) (iii) to Annex 6 of the Convention.
In accordance with Article 60, paragraph 1 of the Convention, these amendments shall enter into force on 1 October 2009, unless not later than by 1 July 2009 one-fifth or five of the States which are Contracting Parties, whichever number is less, have notified the Secretary-General of the United Nations of their objection to the amendments.
