30th UN/CEFACT Forum

2 - 6 October 2017

Rome, Italy

The United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and E-business (UN/CEFACT) organizes its 30th Forum at the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), Rome, Italy from 2-6 October 2017.

Priorities at the Forum are:

  • Advancing current projects and domain activities;
  • Ongoing maintenance tasks (such as UN/EDIFACT Data Maintenance Requests);
  • Formulating and approving a series of new projects to be conducted within the framework of the approved programme of work;
  • Continuing liaison and cooperation activities with external organizations (governmental as well as industry and standards consortia); and
  • Advancing UN/CEFACT’s current and forthcoming technical framework.

Forum sessions are held bi-annually in different locations throughout the world.

Airport Transfer

From Fiumicino Airport to Rome Center

Airport train:

  • Leonardo Express Train: takes 30 minutes to reach the center of Rome, one way ticket costs €14.
    (get your ticket stamped in a yellow validation machine just before using it. Ticket expires 90 minutes after validation)

Airport bus:

  • Terravision Airport Bus, the Market Leader, costs €5.

Taxi and private car:

  • The authorities have set a maximum fare of €70 between Fiumicino Airport and all the destinations inside the Rome Ring Road (Grande Raccordo Anulare) that delimit the central area of the city of Rome. Most fares in the main hotel districts of Rome should be around €45-€55.
  • Private car and driver (€45 and up per car)

From Rome center to Fiumicino Airport

Please keep in mind that neither Rome traffic nor drivers are ever predictable, so the approximate 40-minute trip can turn into well over an hour when driving.

Forum Venue

The Forum will take place at the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), ICA - Agenzia per la promozione all'estero e l'internazionalizzazione delle imprese italiane, Via Liszt, 21, 00144 Roma, Italy.


Rome metro (subway), simply called Metropolitana by Italians. The metro runs approximately every 7-10 minutes, from 5:30am until 11.30pm every day (until 0:30am on Saturdays).
Ordinary tickets can be bought throughout the metro stations from vending machines or booths. Tickets can be purchased also in newsstands and tabacchis. The drivers do not sell any tickets. For daily or weekly tickets see Rome public transport tickets. Discount Cards information .

ICE is located nearby EUR PALASPORT station, metro line B; this neighbourhood is an office buildings area, therefore, it would be better to stay in the centre of Rome and travel daily to ICE.
