The sixteenth session of the Working Party on Regulatory Cooperation and Standardization Policies (WP.6) took place from 19 June to 21 June 2006. It included the International Forum on Common Regulatory Language for Global Trade, jointly organized with the Committee on Trade.
The main achievements from the session were:
- the approval of revised Recommendation “J” on “Definitions” (ECE/TRADE/C/WP.6/2006/5);
- discussion on how to use the “ECE standardization list” to exchange information and prioritize areas for regulatory cooperation at a regional and international level.
