"MARS" Group Meeting

The meeting reviewed the work done by the MARS Group as well as recent developments in the area of market surveillance. The main issues discussed were:

• Draft UNECE Recommendation “M” on the “Use of Market Surveillance Infrastructure as a Complementary Means to Protect Consumers and Users Against Counterfeit Goods”


• Market Surveillance in the European Union (EU) and it proposed reform


• National Market surveillance approaches and experiences


• Identification of common problems for future work and preparation of conclusions
