Capacity for Sharing Forest and Market Information
Krtiny, Czech Republic, 24-28 October 2005
The
Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic and Forests
of the Czech Republic S.E., the UNECE/FAO Timber Branch
of the UNECE Trade Development and Timber Division and the
FAO Forestry Department / Sub
regional Office for Central and Eastern Europe convened
a workshop in the framework of the Cooperation Agreement
between the Czech Republic and FAO. It was held in Prague
and Krtiny, Czech Republic from 24 – 28 October 2005.
The organizers hope that the workshop would help to extend
the capacity of countries to collect and share information
in the field of forest resources, forest products, marketing
and policy. Participants from the following countries took
part in the workshop: Armenia; Azerbaijan; Georgia; Kyrgyzstan;
Mongolia; Turkey; Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. There were
also participants from Austria, Czech Republic, Finland,
Lithuania, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia, Sweden and USA.
