III. - OBLIGATIONS OF CONTRACTING PARTIES
AS REGARDS NOTIFICATIONS

A number of the provisions of the Convention require Contracting Parties to communicate specified information to the Secretary General of the Council.

To facilitate the task of the Contracting Parties, the notifications required are listed below:

1. Notification of acceptance of Annexes (Article 11, paragraphs 4 and 6);
2. Notification of withdrawal of acceptance of an Annex (Article 14, paragraph 4);
3. Notification of reservations in respect of the Standards and Recommended Practices contained in an Annex (Article 5, paragraph 1; Article 9; Article 10, paragraph 2; Article 17, paragraph 2);
4. Notification of withdrawal of reservations in respect of provisions in the Annexes (Article 5, paragraph 1);
5. Notification of differences between the provisions of national legislation and those of the Standards and Recommended Practices in respect of which reservations have been entered (Article 5, paragraphs 1 and 2);
6. Notification by Contracting Parties forming a Customs or Economic Union which decide that their territories are to be taken as a single territory for the purposes of a given Annex (Article 9);
7. Notification with a view to extending the application of the Convention to all or any of the territories for whose international relations a Contracting Party is responsible (Article 13);
8. Notification of objections to amendments recommended by the Council (Article 15, paragraphs 3 and 4).

Germany Also applicable to West Berlin

United Kingdom Extended to the Channel Islands and the Isle of man as regards Annexes A.1., A.2., B.3., D.1., D.2., E.1., E.3., E.6., E.8. and F.2.

Switzerland Extended to the Principality of Liechtenstein as regards Annexes A.1., A.2., A.3., A.4., B.1., B.2., B.3., C.1., D.1., D.2., D.3., E.1., E.3., E.4., E.5., E.6., E.8., F.1., F.3., F.4., F.5., F.6., G.1., G.2., and H.1.
