The TIR secretariat has been informed that the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Association of International Road Hauliers (AIRH) has been designated issuing and guaranteeing body for TIR Carnets in Bosnia and Herzegovina and will start issuing and guaranteeing TIR Carnets as of 1 January 2010. As a result, Bosnia and Herzegovina should be considered a country with which a TIR transit operation can be established as of that date.
Further details on TIR Customs transit arrangements in and with Bosnia and Herzegovina, including a list of Customs offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina (departure, destination and en route) approved for TIR operations, may be obtained from the TIR secretariat or the International Road Transport Union (IRU).
