The TIR secretariat has been informed that the National Road Transport Association of Mongolia (NARTAM) has been designated issuing and guaranteeing body for TIR Carnets in Mongolia and is authorised to issue and guarantee TIR Carnets as of 15 December 2003. As a result, Mongolia should be considered a country with which a TIR transit operation can be established as of that date.
