The TIR secretariat has been informed that the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro (PKCG) has been designated issuing and guaranteeing body for TIR Carnets in Montenegro will start issuing and guaranteeing TIR Carnets as of 15 January 2008. As a result, Montenegro should be considered a country with which a TIR transit operation can be established as of that date.
Further details on TIR Customs transit arrangements in and with Montenegro, including a list of Customs offices in Montenegro (departure, destination and en route) approved for TIR operations, may be obtained from the TIR secretariat or the International Road Transport Union (IRU).
