The UNECE/TIR secretariat informs all intererested parties that Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1192/2008 of 17 November 2008 was published in the EU Official Journal of 6 December 2008, No. L329. This regulation contains, inter alia, provisions that the holder, as of 1 January 2009, shall lodge the TIR Carnet data at all EU offices of departure or entry (en route) using a data-processing technique.
