Dear Colleagues, THE PEP Staffete is continuing!
We are inviting you to a workshop on safe and healthy walking and cycling in urban areas to be held on 30 September – 1 October 2010 in Batumi.
You will have opportunity to participate in roundtable discussions and work to identify challenges and needs, as to promote innovative policies for planning, financing, infrastructure development and regulations to support walking and cycling as increasingly viable and attractive modes of urban mobility.
You could also join a cycling and walking Rally together with other governmental officials, sportsmen and activists. Furthermore, you will be invited to celebrate with little Batumians the launching of their first Walking school Bus, which is running on the most sustainable fuel you have ever seen!
The Workshop will be conducted in English and Russian with simultaneous interpretation. Delegates from countries with economies in transition may apply for financial support. More information about the workshop can be found in the table below: in Information Note and Provisional Programme (available in English and Russian).
