Objectives:

• Advise UNECE in the formulation of a sub-regional implementation plan for the 2008 SNA, taking into consideration the specific circumstances in those UNECE countries that are not members of the EU or the OECD; to help EECCA countries establish priorities in SNA 2008 implementation. In this it is recognized that some countries might still be working towards the full implementation of 1993 SNA;

• Assist and advise the UNECE on the formulation and planning of technical assistance activities in national accounts and related source statistics taking into account the UNSC recommendations on the ISWGNA implementation programme for the 2008 SNA and supporting economic statistics;

• Assist the UNECE in the organization of meetings and workshops in the field of national accounts and to propose agenda items, taking into consideration the specific needs of the UNECE member countries.
