Poverty statistics

The formulation of the post-2015 development agenda has underlined the importance of measuring poverty, inequality and vulnerability. Countries and international organizations need comparable data and harmonized data sets, but no coherent set of indicators to measure poverty currently exists.  We work with UNECE member States to exchange knowledge and best practices in poverty measurement, with the goal of developing guidelines and recommendations for improving the international comparability and availability of statistics on poverty and the related metadata.
