Objective

The goal of the UNECE project on gender based violence is to:

  1. identify core indicators for measuring gender based violence;
  2. bring about recommendations as to the methods of measurement of gender based violence (i.e. surveys specifically designed to measure gender based violence that would be used internationally and be applicable to multiple countries); and
  3. synchronize the methods of data collection, definitions, and measurements, thus, enabling cross-country comparisons on gender based violence.
