THE PRODUCTION PROCESS OF GENDER STATISTICS
The
last part of the process concerns the analysis,
presentation, and dissemination of data.
Statistics and indicators needed for gender
analyses stem from different statistical
fields and therefore are often spread over
various publications. Although all statistical
publications should reflect the reality of
women and men, it is also important that
data related to women and men be available
in a single statistical product tailored
to the users' needs. Attention should also
be paid to the way the data are being presented.
A marketing and dissemination plan for the
statistical product(s) on gender should be
developed early and in parallel to the production
process thus ensuring that the target audience
is reached efficiently. |
