DEFINITIONS OF LIST, TEXT, AND ANNEX TABLES
Lists
A list is a small table showing only one variable. It is a good method of highlighting an important data set to complement the text. This is often done by ranking the variable.
Text tables
Text tables are small tables (less than one page) referred to and integrated into the text. Due to their close link to the text, they should be simple and easy to understand. Text tables should only highlight a major point that is then further elaborated within the text.
Annex tables
Relatively large and complex tables (comprising of several variables and indicators) can be presented in the annex. Still, the table layout needs to be clear and comprehensive.
