Transport of Perishable Foodstuffs
Деятельность ЕЭК ООН в области перевозки скоропортящихся пищевых продуктов берет начало в 1948 г., когда при нехватке продовольствия после Второй мировой войны было принято решение создать Рабочую группу для изучения характера и объема международной перевозки скоропортящихся пищевых продуктов, чтобы оценить эксплуатационные трудности и исследовать потребности в перевозках в последующие годы.

A letter has been sent to Ministers of Foreign Affairs of ATP contracting parties requesting the contact information for the authority competent to sign multilateral agreements (in accordance with article 7 of ATP).
The ATP establishes harmonized and improved technical conditions for the preservation of the quality of perishable foodstuffs during their carriage. These conditions concern mainly the temperature to be observed during the carriage and the equipment used for the carriage. The ATP establishes the appropriate temperatures under which the various types of perishable foodstuffs should be carried. It also lays down the requirements for the equipment, including its refrigerating capacity, insulating capacity and efficiency of thermal appliances as well as the methods and procedures for measuring and checking them.
