Summary: On 13 March 2011, the Kazakh public association, National Analysis and Information Resource, submitted a communication to the Compliance Committee alleging a failure of Kazakhstan to comply with its obligations under article 6 (7)–(9) of the Convention, by limiting the communicant’s opportunity to participate in the decision-making on and to express its opinion during the conduct of the state environmental review for the “South West Roads Project: Western Europe-Western China International Transit Corridor”, in the South Kazakhstan Oblast.
