A special presentation on the current state and prospects of the Russian gas exports to Europe will be made by Mr. Stanislav Tsygankov, Head of the International Business Department of OAO GAZPROM, the Russian energy company, during the opening session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Working Party on Gas in the morning of Tuesday, 20 January. Mr. Tsygankov also serves as the Chairman of the Executive Board of the UNECE Gas Centre.
The Gazprom presentation will precede two Round Table discussions to be held during the meeting. The Round Tables will examine the current situation and future prospects for underground gas storage and for the liquefied natural gas industry. The annual session of the Working Party on Gas will be held on 20 and 21 January, starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, 20 January in Conference Room XI, Palais des Nations.
