Upon launching the Generations and Gender Programme (GGP) in 2000, the Population Activities
Unit (PAU) invited several prominent institutions in the field of population
studies to form a Consortium to develop the Programme and to assist in raising
funds for its implementation. The major decisions upon steering the Programme
are taken by the Consortium Board that includes senior representatives
of the institutions of the GGP Consortium.
The GGP Consortium is currently composed of nine partners:
- Population Activities Unit, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (coordinator)
- Hungarian Central Statistical Office
- Institut national d'etudes demographiques (France)
- Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (Germany)
- Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute
- Statistics Canada
- Statistics Norway
- Carlo F. Dondena Centre for Research on Social Dynamics at the Bocconi University (Italy)
- Department of Social Policy at the University of York (Great Britain)
