Working Group on Ageing: Bureau meeting
On 11 and 12 May in Bratislava, the Bureau of the Working Group on Ageing reviewed and discussed implementation of the Working Group's programme and the activities of the coming half year.
UNECE and the European Centre Vienna agree on cooperation in developing policy responses to population ageing
On 30 March, Ján Kubiš, UNECE Executive Secretary, and Bernd Marin, Executive Director of the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research signed a Memorandum of Understanding that marks a new stage in the collaboration of the two organizations on population ageing.

2007 UNECE Ministerial Conference on Ageing
2007 Ministerial Conference on Ageing took place in León, Spain, on 6-8 November 2007.
The UNECE Population Unit is promoting policy dialogues among the UNECE Member States
on various facets of demographic change in Europe and North America. Its activities are supporting
the implementation of the final documents of inter-governmental conferences on population issues,
and contributing towards better-informed policy-making by organizing programmes of data collection and
research.
