Vision of Entrepreneurship
|
"In my view it is important that small and medium companies find their place and remain competitive despite the trend of globalization and the domination of multinational companies.
To achieve this, I believe, it is essential that we focus more on what we can do best, build and maintain close relationships with our customers, treat them as individuals and provide them excellent service.
In our bookstores we aim to create a friendly and intimate atmosphere where our customers can feel comfortable and appreciated. I place special emphasis on personal contact both with my customers and employees which has special value in today’s rushing world, nevertheless it is commonly overlooked key factor for success."

How I became an enterpreneur?
|
"I became an entrepreneur due to the pressure of circumstances. I used to be a math teacher and in 1979 I suffered an accident in school. After surgeries and years of post treatment, it became obvious that I could not continue my carrier in my original profession. I started tutoring private students at home but those were difficult times as we had three kids to feed and my husband’s salary was not sufficient.
In 1986 an offer came up to work on a bookstand temporarily. This was around the time of privatisations in Hungary, the state-owned monopolistic book distribution system collapsed leaving a vacuum behind. I saw opportunities in selling books on the street, as it showed a way out of our financial problems. Developing our business meant a lot of work (12-14 hours a day, sometimes even more) but with the support of my husband I continued and soon managed to acquire my own bookstands.
Later, in 1991 we founded our bookselling and publishing company, which soon gained a significant position in the Hungarian book market. By that time we already had a wholesale warehouse, 16 stands and a few smaller bookshops. Since 1996, with the leadership of my youngest son Gyuri, our publishing section has specialized in computer books.
Currently we run two large bookstores, twelve small shops under the name Anima. We also have a virtual bookstore on the Internet. Kiskapu as a brand has gained an excellent reputation as a computer book publishing house with 43 titles to date and the Linuxvilág monthly magazine."

Message for the 21st century
|
"Love is capable of incredible things. Believe in its power and when you feel there is no way out, it is not worth going on, think of it feeling as only temporary. Set a goal for yourself, fight for it and never give up!"
