Gender Activities

Objectives:

• Introduce a gender perspective into economic analysis, policies and practices in the ECE region
• Raise  the awareness on  links between gender and macroeconomics 
• Promote a regional dialogue and exchange of best practices in the area of mainstreaming gender into the economy and economic policies

The ECE activities are carried out through  gender sensitive analysis of selected  economic trends presented in the Economic Survey for Europe,   documents prepared for  Annual Sessions and other Meetings, work of Ad Hoc Group of Experts on Gender and Macroeconomics  as well as the Regional Symposium on Mainstreaming Gender into Economic Policies (Geneva, January 2004).
