1. Distinguish clearly between

a. Organic waste (all  matter containing carbon)

b. Bio waste (subgroup of organic waste)

c. Inorganic waste divided into ferrous/non-ferrous, rare earth elements and non-metallic waste

2. On the usage side distinguish between thermal and chemical processes

a. Incineration with resulting residues

b. Chemical conversion to H2, CH4, syngas, methanol, ethanol, biofuels etc.

c. Materials recycling e.g. plastics to plastics, metal waste mining etc.

I hope you can integrate these points in the complex text, clarify them in the introduction and maybe add a chapter on the economic usage of anthropogenic (waste) resources.

It would useful to have also an ISO standard on this subject matter as basis for analyses, sampling, testing and certification for industrial and trade purposes – see attached waste categories.
