Tenth meeting of the Task Force on Target Setting and Reporting

The tenth meeting of the Task Force on Target Setting and Reporting under the Protocol on Water and Health will be held at the Palais des Nations, Geneva, from 24 to 25 April 2018.

The main objectives of the tenth meeting of the Task Force will be to:

  • Discuss developments with regard to the implementation and follow up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (2030 Agenda) and it particular its SDG 6 on clean water and sanitation and SDG 3 on good health and well-being.
  • Review progress by countries in setting and/or revising their targets under the Protocol on Water and Health and implementing them.
  • Discuss the preparation of the practical guide for joint implementation of the Protocol on Water and Health and the 2030 Agenda.
  • Discuss opportunities for raising public awareness, access to information and public participation under the Protocol.
  • Initiate preparations for the fourth reporting cycle under the Protocol.

Registration and financial support

The meeting is open to experts from Parties to the Protocol and other States representing governmental authorities water and health managers, the private sector, international and non-governmental organizations, as well as other interested stakeholders.

Delegates attending the meeting are requested to register online at https://uncdb.unece.org/app/ext/meeting-registration?id=RFadmc as soon as possible but not later than 13 April 2017.

Participants requiring an entry visa should inform the secretariat as soon as possible. As the minimum amount of time needed for obtaining the Swiss visa is 15 working days, participants are requested to submit their application as soon as possible and to initiate visa procedures at least three weeks before the meeting.

Eligible participants from countries with economies in transition may apply for financial support to facilitate their participation in the meeting. Requests for financial support should be submitted to the UNECE secretariat (cammile.marcelo(at)un.org) as soon as possible, but no later than 15 March 2017, using the financial support request form. No application will be accepted after this deadline due to visa and travel arrangement regulations.

The meeting will follow a PaperSmart model. Therefore, participants are asked to bring their own copies of documents or laptops.
