Setting up and running one's own business can be a route to economic independence and empowerment and create new opportunities for women. By doing so, women entrepreneurs contribute to sustaining economic growth, job creation and improving the living standards of their families and communities. We therefore promote the development of women's entrepreneurship in South-East Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia.
Our activities include
- Research assessing the business environment for women entrepreneurs
- Sub-regional and regional forums for women entrepreneurs to address issues of particular concern such as the lack of networking opportunities, difficult access to credit and lack of specific knowledge and skills.
- Capacity-building workshops on information and communication technologies (ICTs) and support systems for women entrepreneurs
