Towards a Green Economy in the Context of Sustainable Development: Practical Tools for the Forest Sector

9 June 2016

Batumi, Georgia

Side event at Environment for Europe Ministerial Conference, Hilton Batumi Hotel, Room Armazi at 18:15-19:30.

Please note that even if you plan to participate only in this event (or other side events), you need to register to the main conference.

What are the practical ways for countries to green their economies? How to prepare relevant tools such as sectorial action plans? How to take a green economy into action at national grass root level? Join us to hear about the development and implementation of the Rovaniemi Action Plan and other green economy practical tools in the forest sector, discuss lessons learned and share possibilities in cross-sectorial cooperation.

The programme of the event is available in English here and in Russian here. The event was organized in English with simultaneous interpretation in Russian. Two information documents (ECE/BATUMI.CONF/2016/INF/32 and ECE/BATUMI.CONF/2016/INF/33) related to this event are available here.
